44 students graduate with diploma and certificate from Asmara Music School

A total of 44 students who have been pursuing music studies in piano, saxophone, guitar, flute, violin, clarinet, trumpet and drumming in Asmara Music School graduated yesterday in diploma and certificate.

Asmara, 8 July 2013 – A total of 44 students who have been pursuing music studies in piano, saxophone, guitar, flute, violin, clarinet, trumpet and drumming in Asmara Music School graduated yesterday in diploma and certificate.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Elias Woldegebriel, Director of the school, noted the vital role of music in cultural and other civilization of one’s society, thus calling for the need of significant investment to this end. He further urged the graduates to focus on career development, and parents to encourage them.

Also speaking on the occasion, Mr. Solomon Tsehaye, Head of cultural affairs in the Ministry of Education, said that music is a remarkable prerequisite in the nation-building process and cultural renaissance.

Among the graduates, Samuel Girmai and Henok Mebrahtu asserted that they would strive to develop their career as musicians.

Asmara Music School has graduated for the 11th time in diploma and certificate, according to reports.
