Residents of Mogolo step up efforts regarding environmental hygiene

The residents of Mogolo semi-urban center said that they are engaged in further environmental ventures such as environmental hygiene and widespread introduction of soak-pit latrines.

Mogolo, 12 July 2013 – The residents of Mogolo semi-urban center said that they are engaged in further environmental ventures such as environmental hygiene and widespread introduction of soak-pit latrines.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Amna Mohammed, Mr. Yacob Adebo and Ms. Hamza Humed lauded the role of the health center in the locality to this end, and asserted that their livelihood has been witnessing improvement following the conducting of such undertakings.

Mr. Asmeron Amine, head of environmental hygiene in the health center, disclosed that they have been conducting intense community sensitization activities in this regard, thus giving rise to such visible impact.

Moreover, Mr. Abdu Yacob, head of environmental hygiene in Gash-Barka region, said that communities have been playing commendable role in ensuring environmental hygiene vis-à-vis the accomplishment registered by health institutions in this connection. Further efforts would be made to expand outreach in this regard in remote areas, he added.
