Inhabitants of Mensura sub-zone to step up participation in national development programs

The inhabitants of Mensura sub-zone said that they would step up participation in national development programs.

Mensura, 15 July 2013 – The inhabitants of Mensura sub-zone said that they would step up participation in national development programs. They made the pledge at a meeting with the sub-zonal Administrator, Mr. Tesfalidet Gebremariam, during which it was stated that the livelihood of the inhabitants is improving in line with the implementation of various development programs in the locality.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Saleh Mohammed-Ali and Mr. Adem Ali asserted that they would enhance role for the realization of the cherished development goals.

Mr. Tesfalidet further pointed out that the government has been exerting further efforts with a view to promoting social service outreach in rural areas. He also called on Area and Village administrators to extend a helping hand in such ventures.

Mr. Woldeyesus Gebrai, Head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, disclosed that soil and water conservation undertakings in the area have witnessed positive impact vis-à-vis the growing trend of popular participation thereof.
