Administration of Southern region organizes training for new staff members

A total of 500 new staff members of the Southern region Administration who have been attending one-year certificate courses in Human Resource Management, Documentation, Secretarial Science, Finance and Material Management graduated recently.

Mendefera, 18 July 2013 – A total of 500 new staff members of the Southern region Administration who have been attending one-year certificate courses in Human Resource Management, Documentation, Secretarial Science, Finance and Material Management graduated recently.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Jimi’e Suleiman, personnel in the Administrative office, pointed out that the staff members have been working with all sub-zonal administrations, and that the training which was conducted in various cities involved a six-month internship.

Also speaking on the occasion, Ms. Fana Tesfamariam, Managing director of the regional Administration, indicated that the government has been making substantial investment with a view to upgrading the professional capacity of the youth. She further called on the beneficiaries of the training to focus on career development.

Among the trainees, Selam Teame, Helen Mengistu, Taha Abdulkadir and Semhar Beraki explained that they are in a position to cope with the professional challenge their respective careers entail on the basis of the knowledge they have acquired. They also expressed readiness to serve the people with dedication.
