The residents of Asmara said that seedlings of date palms numbering 2,500, planted in collaboration with communities, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Municipal Administration along various streets of the city have flourished well.
Asmara, 18 July 2013 – The residents of Asmara said that seedlings of date palms numbering 2,500, planted in collaboration with communities, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Municipal Administration along various streets of the city have flourished well.
Mr. Habte Mahrai from the City Administration called on the residents to take good care of the trees. Likewise, Ms. Birikti Teklezgi, who is in charge of the trees’ follow-up, equally called for such community attention in connection with the trees, and lauded the role of members of the 7th Police Station to this end.
Among the residents, Ms. Abrehet Woldai, Aron Mekonen and Dawit Yihdego explained that such accomplishment attests to the communities’ commitment to promote environment clean.
