Inhabitants of Kuruh express readiness to work for the success of development programs

The inhabitants of Kuruh administrative area expressed readiness to strive for putting in place social service center compatible with the growing number of inhabitants and develop the existing ones.

 

Kuruh, 20 July 2013- The inhabitants of Kuruh administrative area expressed readiness to strive for putting in place social service center compatible with the growing number of inhabitants and develop the existing ones.

They explained that previously they were compelled to lead a scattered pattern of living and that after independence they have been regrouped and become beneficiaries of social services put in place by the Government.

Mr. Hiyabu Musa and Ms. Jeme’a Hishal said that they were leading nomadic life and after regrouping they have become beneficiaries of potable water, and that their children have the opportunity of getting education.

Youth Yasin Ali-Gebres indicated that as a result of putting in place educational and transportation services and provision of potable water Kuruh is growing to semi-urban center.

Mr. Adm Igel, Administrator of Kuruh administrative area, pointed out that Kuruh has been an example for the importance of regrouping, and that 105 families would be regrouped this year.

In Kuruh administrative area there exist educational services to the Junior High School level, and transportation services, as well as trade institutions.

Kuruh administrative area is one of the 11 administrative areas in Geleb sub-zone located 51 km. east of Keren city.
