Implementation of development programs in Central region gains momentum through higher popular participation

The Administration of the Central region pointed out that implementation of development programs has gained momentum on the basis of higher popular participation. It made the remark at an assessment meeting which was conducted at the City Hall, during which various reports were presented elucidating the development accomplishments registered in collaboration with members of the People’s Army and different communities.

Asmara, 24 July 2013 – The Administration of the Central region pointed out that implementation of development programs has gained momentum on the basis of higher popular participation. It made the remark at an assessment meeting which was conducted at the City Hall, during which various reports were presented elucidating the development accomplishments registered in collaboration with members of the People’s Army and different communities.

Accordingly, such achievements and the ongoing efforts thereof pertain to soil and water conservation, renovation of micro-dams and enrichment of water resources, launching of integrated irrigation farm, as well as renovation and construction of roads and sewage route, among others.

In closing remarks, the Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwet, called for reinforcement of endeavors pertaining to income generating activities, human resource development and popular undertakings.
