NUEW members in Scandinavia express readiness to back up national endeavors of promoting women’s production capacity
The members of the NUEW in Scandinavian countries have expressed readiness to back up national endeavors of promoting women’s role in the national development and economic activities on the basis of raising their production capacity.
Asmara, 28 July 2013 – The members of the NUEW in Scandinavian countries have expressed readiness to back up national endeavors of promoting women’s role in the national development and economic activities on the basis of raising their production capacity.
The nationals made the pledge at a meeting they conducted with the NUEW Chairperson, Ms. Leul Gebreab, in connection with the recent community festival in Stockholm city.
In the course of the meeting, Ms. Leul gave detailed briefings pertaining to the ongoing activities of the Union vis-à-vis the achievements made, and lauded the active role of the members in Scandinavia in such activities. She further called on them to enhance participation in the Union’s programs.
The members of the Union indicated that the women’s training center which is being constructed in Adi-Keih city on the basis of their fund attests to the joint endeavors being exerted by communities, national Associations and government bodies towards equipping women with the necessary knowledge and skills.
