The 4-day annual festival of Eritrean community members in Scandinavia was concluded yesterday with patriotic fervor in the presence of Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Ms. Leul Gebreab, Chairperson of the NUEW.

Asmara, 29 July 2013 – The 4-day annual festival of Eritrean community members in Scandinavia was concluded yesterday with patriotic fervor in the presence of Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Ms. Leul Gebreab, Chairperson of the NUEW.

In the course of the concluding program, Ms. Tsigereda Berhe, Secretary of the community’s holidays coordinating committee, pointed out that the event could be successful thanks to the all-round active participation witnessed on the part of the nationals. She further explained that the activities and meetings staged in connection with the event are a springboard to enhancement of community organization, and hence better accomplishments.

Reports indicated that members of the community who made outstanding contribution in organizing the event received awards, especially youths known as “Eri-Blood group,” preceding the cultural performances staged in the last evening.

Accordingly, more than 60 programs were conducted as part of the event giving major focus to bequeathing national and cultural values to the young generation, besides portraying the right image of the nation.
