Goluj, 29 July 2013 –The inhabitants of Tebeldia village have ploughed farmlands of families of martyrs comprising a total of 32 hectares through popular undertaking. They further indicated that the community has been extending labor support to such families since 2005 on the basis of establishing a group of volunteers, and that the recent campaign is a continuation of the venture.
Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Mulue Embaye, Mr. Abdu Ibrahim, Ms. Meryem Humed Mohammed and Mr. Gaesai Gebremariam said that the fellow inhabitants have been collaborating with them in the process of rain-fed farming on regular basis, in addition to the government’s support. They also lauded the initiative taken by the community, and pointed out that the commitment of communities and the government towards patronizing families of fallen heroes attests to their readiness to honor the trust of martyrs.
Mr. Abdalla Yusuf, chairman of the volunteers group, disclosed that a total of 85 families have become beneficiaries of the labor support, and stated that engaging in a campaign of this type entails moral satisfaction.
