ENWVA secures material support from members in Germany

The Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) has secured material support from members in Germany.

Asmara, 01 August 2013 – The Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA) has secured material support from members in Germany.

Mr. Abraham Kifletsion from the Association’s head office pointed out that members residing in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany and Holland have been donating such support continually, and that the current items include crutches, wheelchairs, sewing machines and others. Indicating that the equipments are generally of great use for the Disabled, he said that they would be distributed to concerned association members nationwide.

Mr. Abraham further stated that a support of this type attests to the prevalence of the attachment nationals residing abroad have with the Homeland, and lauded those who are playing major role to this end. Moreover, he disclosed that a number of Association members were rehabilitated on the basis of revenue from the sale of bicycles extended by members in Germany.

A total of 260 war-disabled veterans were rehabilitated in livestock worth 2.6 million Nakfa over the past 6 months, according to reports.
