Festival of Eritrean community members in Eastern States,US opens with patriotic zeal

Annual Festival of the Eritrean community members in Eastern States, US opened last Friday with patriotic zeal.

Asmara, 04 August 2013 – Annual Festival of the Eritrean community members in Eastern States, US opened last Friday with patriotic zeal.

The opening ceremony in which the Eritrean Ambassador to the United Nations, Mr. Araya Desta, Mr. Tesfamichael Gerahtu, the Eritrean Ambassador to the UK and Ireland, and Executive of Embassy Affairs in the United States, Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet, were present, witnessed participation of numerous nationals from various cities.

Moreover, reports indicated that cultural performances staged by natives of Kunama ethnic group residing in the cities of Sioux Falls and Atlanta added color to the event.
The festival is expected to remain open until today.
