Asmara, 05 August 2013 – Reports indicated that a seminar focusing on the objective situation in the Homeland was conducted in connection with the festival of Eritrean community members in East USA, besides the staging of an exhibition and cultural show.
Heading the seminar, Mr. Tesfamichael Gerahtu, the Eritrean Ambassador to the UK and Ireland, gave extensive briefings regarding the ongoing national development programs and the new investment prospects for citizens, in addition to the role of popular resistance against external conspiracies. He further pointed out that the nation could step on new development stage foiling hostile acts thanks to the steadfastness of its people at home and abroad, and that sustainability of the attained development pace calls for diligence on the part of the citizenry.
The seminar depicted the accomplishments being registered in the Homeland through internal capacity, besides national cultural values, while sports contests were conducted among teams of children and youths.
Cultural performances staged by natives of Kunama ethnic group residing in the cities of Sioux Falls and Atlanta, as well as Salina Cultural Troupe added color to the event.
