Potable water supply facility is being put in place in Deroque village, Keren sub-zone, on the basis of renovating old water distribution stations and installation of a new pipeline in collaboration with the inhabitants.

Keren, 07 August 2013 – Potable water supply facility is being put in place in Deroque village, Keren sub-zone, on the basis of renovating old water distribution stations and installation of a new pipeline in collaboration with the inhabitants.

Mr. Osman Terqe, in charge of the undertaking’s follow-up, indicated that the facility is fed from a reservoir in Halib-Mentel which is capable of accommodating 800 barrels, and that the new pipeline is 2.5 Km-long. He further lauded the inhabitants’ commitment in the process, and disclosed that 70% of the task so far  has been accomplished .

Among the inhabitants, Dahba Mehari, Ms. Tiebe Fikak and Mr. Solomon Zemichael expressed satisfaction with the new facility and the process of its implementation. They further voiced conviction that it would make significant impact in improving the community’s livelihood.
