The 3-day Festival of Eritrean community members in West USA concluded yesterday with patriotic zeal.

Asmara, 12 August 2013 – The 3-day Festival of Eritrean community members in West USA concluded yesterday with patriotic zeal.

Speaking on the closing ceremony, Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet, Executive of Embassy Affairs in the US, noted the importance of such event in connection with State affairs, and lauded those who played major role in organizing it.

Over 20 football teams comprising more than 250 youth nationals from all over West USA, conducted contests, besides the conducting of athletics tournament involving 25 racers. Moreover, cultural performances by Salina Cultural Troupe, Eri-AM Sisters and artist nationals residing in the US added color to the festival, the preparation of which took more than 6 months, according to reports.
