Impressive development accomplishments registered in Afabet and Nacfa sub-zones on the basis of SWP: Report
Reports indicated that impressive development accomplishments, including soil and water conservation, afforestation as well as renovation of dirt roads have been registered in Afabet and Nacfa sub-zones on the basis of the SWP.
Nacfa, 16 August 2013 – Reports indicated that impressive development accomplishments, including soil and water conservation, afforestation as well as renovation of dirt roads have been registered in Afabet and Nacfa sub-zones on the basis of the SWP.
Mr. Jabera Mohammed, head of the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in Nacfa sub-zone, stated that more than 69 Km-long terraces and a number of water catchment walls have been constructed, besides the renovation of others, and that other achievements pertain to the follow-up of flourished tree seedlings, construction of ponds and the renovation of roads in Nacfa town.
Meanwhile, one of the coordinators of the Program in Afabet sub-zone, Mr. Hamd Idris-Nor, disclosed that the participants made follow-up of more than 30,000 trees, in addition to the digging of holes of plantation of tree seedlings and dumping. He further lauded the active role of the participants in the process.
Among the participants, Idris Afa and Nejat Ismail expressed conviction that the program has vital impact as regards nurturing the norm of work and exchange of experience.
