Academic and training courses organized for prisoners in Barentu

Prisoners who have been attending academic and training courses in the Prison and Rehabilitation Center in Barentu graduated recently.

Barentu, 20 August 2013 – Prisoners who have been attending academic and training courses in the Prison and Rehabilitation Center in Barentu graduated recently.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Maj. Kidane Yosef, Commander of the Center, pointed out that such activities have been conducted twice a year on regular basis with a view to raising the production capacity of prisoners. He further expressed conviction that the knowledge and skills the prisoners have acquired constitutes a stepping stone in their future careers. He further lauded the active role of teachers as well as trainers.
