Hagaz residents to enhance efforts with a view to raising harvest

The residents of Hagaz semi-urban center said that they would enhance efforts in rain-fed farming with a view to raising agricultural output. They made the pledge at a meeting with the Administration of the semi-urban center during which it was stated that the community would concentrate on proper harnessing of rain water.

Hagaz, 23 August 2013 – The residents of Hagaz semi-urban center said that they would enhance efforts in rain-fed farming with a view to raising agricultural output. They made the pledge at a meeting with the Administration of the semi-urban center during which it was stated that the community would concentrate on proper harnessing of rain water.

Mr. Teklehaimanot Samuel, Administrator of the semi-urban center, they further expressed satisfaction with social services in the locality, and called on farmers to adhere to proper application and management of compost.

He also disclosed that the residents of the semi-urban center would engage in prevention of malaria infection on the basis of environmental hygiene ventures and spray of chemical targeting mosquito.

The participants of the meeting put forth views pertaining to several issues.
