National Cycling Team conducting training to take part in World Championship 2013

The National Cycling Federation indicated that the national team, comprising nationals aged below and above 23, is conducting training to take part in World Championship 2013 due to take place in the Italian city of Florence from September 22 to 29.

Asmara, 28 August 2013 – The National Cycling Federation indicated that the national team, comprising nationals aged below and above 23, is conducting training to take part in World Championship 2013 due to take place in the Italian city of Florence from September 22 to 29.

Reports indicate that six Eritrean cyclists aged over 23 are expected to join the competition, while the number of those aged beyond 23 would be 3. Accordingly, Meron Teshome, Mekhseb Debesai, Awet Gebremedhin, Tesfom Ogbamariam, Aron Debretsion and Metkel Eyob would represent the team of younger cyclists.

Moreover, the selection process in connection with the second team is expected to be finalized shortly, given nominees such as Daniel Teklehaimanot, Meron Rusom, Jani Tewolde and Firekalsi Debsai.
