Administration of Hagaz sub-zone extends support to female ENWVA members engaged in integrated irrigation farming
The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone extended support to 43 female members of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA ) who are engaged in integrated irrigation farming on the basis of 45 hectares in Daerotai.
Hagaz, 05 September 2013 – The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone extended support to 43 female members of the Eritrean National War-disabled Veterans Association (ENWVA ) who are engaged in integrated irrigation farming on the basis of 45 hectares in Daerotai.
The members of the Association expressed satisfaction with the support entailing tilling service, and pointed out that they would do their level best to improve their livelihood using such activity as a stepping stone.
Among the beneficiaries, Ms. Hadas Woldu, Ms. Zeineb Hamd and Ms. Lemlem Mebrahtu indicated that the development endeavors in the locality have made remarkable impact as regards ensuring social justice, and lauded the collaboration of the members of the People’s Army in the farming process.
From members of the People’s Army, Mr. Tesfagabir Mahrai and Mr. Tiquabo Asgedom commended the initiative taken by the Administration, and said that they would sustain their labor support until the finalization of the harvesting stage.
Ms. Letekidan Woldegabir, head of the NUEW branch in the sub-zone, disclosed that endeavors being exerted towards raising the production capacity of women are witnessing gratifying outcome. She also stated that the ENWVA members are playing important role in nurturing the culture-rooted norm of work, which is a crucial factor in the nation-building process.
