Dirko, 07 September 2013 – Farmers in Emni-Haili said that they would step up efforts in rain-fed farming, which is registering good progress as the area is witnessing ample amount and pleasant distribution of rainfall.
Among the inhabitants, Ms. Rumana Mohammed-Nur, Mr. Kibrom Bi’eyai, Mr. Birhanu Mohammed and Ms. Haimanot Fisehaye disclosed that the abundance of rainfall in August has encouraged the plantation of legumes, while cereals under cultivation are in good condition. They also indicated that they anticipate bountiful harvest.
Mr. Amanuel Gebrebirhan, Agronomy expert in Emni-Haili sub-zone, explained that the inhabitants are expected to ensure higher produce in line with the prospects of lengthy rainy season.
