National Festival 2013 assessed created conducive platform for sub-zones in gaining experience

In an assessment meeting conducted in Mendefera city on 25 September it was disclosed that the National Festival 2013 conducted in Dekemhare from 17 to 25 August under the theme “Our Cultural Heritage, Core of Tourism Attraction” created conducive platform for the sub-zones of the Southern region in gaining experience.

Mendefera, 8 September 2013- In an assessment meeting conducted in Mendefera city on 25 September it was disclosed that the National Festival 2013 conducted in Dekemhare from 17 to 25 August under the theme “Our Cultural Heritage, Core of Tourism Attraction” created conducive platform for the sub-zones of the Southern region in gaining experience.

In the regional meeting in which all committees of the sub-zones attended, Mr. Abraham Yohannes, Secretary of the Holidays Coordinating Committee of Southern region, presented extensive report with regards the activities conducted and achievements gained and that the Southern region as the first region to host the National Festival outside the capital city has efficiently assumed responsibility.

Mr. Efrem Gebrekirstos, Administrator of the region, on his part commended members of the regional holidays coordinating committee, national companies, Government institutions and the National Holidays Coordinating Committee for strong efforts for the success of the National Festival.
