Foster parents in Hagaz sub-zone expressed resolve to work hard to improve their livelihood with the assistance they receive from the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare.

Gagaz, 12 September 2013- Foster parents in Hagaz sub-zone expressed resolve to work hard to improve their livelihood with the assistance they receive from the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare.

The families commended the assistance they receive from the Ministry, and that they would make good use of it.

Ms. Teberih Alemayo, Ms. Kaltum Idris and Ms. Asha Saleh explained that they are engaged in livestock raising through the assistance they received, and that their livelihood is improving.

Ms. Genet Habte, head of MOLHW branch in the sub-zone, indicated that the assistance being provided is part of the Government’s effort to improve the livelihood of needy citizens, and that each family has been provided 20 thousand Nakfa each.

She further specified that this year 1 million and 71 thousand Nakfa has been distributed to families of martyrs  and to 110 needy students for school materials and school uniforms, and called for judicious use of the assistance they are being provided.
