– Members of the People’s Army and civil servants in Haikota sub-zone conducted a joint campaign regarding afforestation within the Martyrs’ Cemetery in the locality.

Haikota, 20 September 2013 – Members of the People’s Army and civil servants in Haikota sub-zone conducted a joint campaign regarding afforestation within the Martyrs’ Cemetery in the locality.

Among the participants, Awet Nasser and Tesfamichael Gebrehiwet said that the undertaking is a continuation of the environment-related endeavors, and expressed moral satisfaction with having participated in the undertaking.

One of the members of the People’s Army, Habtemichael Tewoldebirhan pointed out that more efforts need to be exerted to this end vis-à-vis continued soil and water conservation tasks.

Mr. Hamd Yusuf, Administrator of Haikota sub-zone, indicated that a number of accomplishments have been registered in connection with soil and water conservation and afforestation on the basis of such joint activities which also involved students.
