Assab, 13 September 2013 – The residents of Irafaile, Northern Red Sea region, Foro sub-zone, indicated that the clinic in their area is rendering commendable service.
They told Erina that thanks to the continuous awareness raising education they receive from health professionals assigned to the health center the prevalence of communicable diseases has been tremendously reduced, and that the health of mothers and children is being ensured.
Among the residents, Mr. Saleh Mohammed-Seid and Ms. Amina Reshid expressed satisfaction for becoming beneficiaries of such medical service, and lauded the medical personnel’s hospitable manner vis-à-vis their efforts as regards promoting community awareness on health issues and prevention of communicable diseases.
Likewise, Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Mohammed, head of the health center, pointed out that the inhabitants are receiving regular awareness raising educational programs and as a result the prevalence of communicable diseases has been significantly reduced and the health of mothers and children being ensured.
The health center, on top of rendering medical services, is also playing significant role in combatting harmful traditional practices, as well as providing education with regards communicable diseases.
