Foro, 24 September 2013 – The Administration of Erafaile area, Foro sub-zone, pointed out that the growing demand for ice could be met following the opening of a factory.
Mr. Saleh Ibrahim, Administrator of the area, explained that functionality of the factory was delayed by some technical shortcomings following the putting in place of its infrastructural facilities, and that it is presently in a position to ensure ample supply of ice for the inhabitants and fishermen at fair price. The factory is also sending its products to Foro and Gelalo areas, he added.
Among the inhabitants, Mr. Idris Mahmoud Bedir and Mr. Ismail Omar Mohammed lauded the government’s commitment as regards improving the livelihood of citizens through furthering distribution of social service facilities, and noted the significance of such factory in the development of the area characterized by hot climate and noteworthy marine potentials.
Mr. Dawood Mohammed, employee of the factory, disclosed that it produces 3 tons of ice within its 24-hours daily production time.
