Central region: Ministry extends support to needy students

 

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Central region has extended support to a total of 1,550 needy students. The support includes learning materials, school uniforms, and cash for registration.

Asmara, 25 September 2013 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Central region has extended support to a total of 1,550 needy students. The support includes learning materials, school uniforms, and cash for registration.

Mr. Zerizgi Yohanes, head of social welfare in the branch office, indicated that the distribution process was accomplished in collaboration with Area administrations.

Among the beneficiaries, Zenawi Angesom and Makeda Fisehaye stated that they have been granted learning materials and registration remuneration for the coming 10 years, and asserted that they would do their level best in their academic pursuit.

From the parents, Ms. Tsirha Araya and Mr. Tekle Negash lauded the Ministry’s initiative of encouraging needy students.
