Asmara, 28 September 2013 – The Eritrean community members in Jeddah city and its environs, Saudi Arabia, conducted annual festival with patriotic zeal from the 25th to the 28th of this month.
Reports indicated that the activities staged in the course of the event such as general knowledge contest, pictorial exhibitions and cultural shows adequately depicted national independence and dignity.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mohammed-Omar Mahmoud, the Eritrean Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, pointed out that the event was conducted at a time when nationals inside the country and abroad have mounted resolve against external conspiracies, and lauded those who made outstanding contribution in organizing it. He further urged the nationals to become primary beneficiaries of the investment opportunities in the Homeland and the housing projects being launched in Asmara.
The festival where cultural performances by Aula Cultural Troupe added color was participatory to children, youths and adults, reports added.
