Digital library and internet service introduced in community library at Denden Camp

Digital library and internet service has been introduced in community library at Denden Camp, Asmara.

Asmara, 30 September 2013 – Digital library and internet service has been introduced in community library at Denden Camp, Asmara.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony yesterday, Mr. Amanuel Tekeste, the library’s manager, indicated that it has been playing important role as regards nurturing the culture of reading among the community members, especially youths, besides the 3-month regular training course it has been organizing pertaining to computer basics.

Accordingly, the library is fully funded by the community, and the new internet service is aimed at supporting war-disabled veterans and children of fallen heroes, besides ensuring service at fair price. Moreover, a total of 16 community members who have been attending training on computing received certificate on that occasion.

Among  members of the community, Simbit Tekeste, Dawood Adem, Akrem Mohammed and Diana Yemane noted the input of such facility in students’ academic pursuit.
