The Administration of Dige sub-zone said that integrated endeavors exerted as regards promoting outreach of social service in the locality has made significant impact.

Dige, 30 September 2013 – The Administration of Dige sub-zone said that integrated endeavors exerted as regards promoting outreach of social service in the locality has made significant impact.

It made the remark at an assessment meeting thereof, during which it was stated that the number of social service facilities in the area has shown visible growth especially over the past 7 years vis-à-vis the noteworthy upswing registered in the number of beneficiaries.

Mr. Saleh Haji, Administrator of the sub-zone, indicated that education is among the major domains of such subsequent accomplishments, while a number of villages have become beneficiaries of potable water supply. Moreover, a 30-million Nakfa project would shortly be launched with a view to giving impetus to livestock production in various forms, besides the baseline study conducted to launch 106 hectares of irrigation farm in Afhimbol area and the plan to put in place various water reservoirs.

The participants of the meeting pointed out that the livelihood of the community is improving following the putting in place of various social service facilities, and asserted that they would back up national development endeavors.
