Livestock owners in Goluj sub-zone said that micro-dams and ponds in the locality have ensured ample water supply for livestock, and pointed out that they are subsequently in a position to save time and energy in this connection.

Goluj, 03 October 2013 – Livestock owners in Goluj sub-zone said that micro-dams and ponds in the locality have ensured ample water supply for livestock, and pointed out that they are subsequently in a position to save time and energy in this connection. They further expressed satisfaction in relation with the fact that the water reservoirs are located in grazing areas, which atmosphere would have positive impact in promoting bovine health and raising dairy output.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Hamd Ali Humed, Mr. Yebio Gebregzibher, Mr. Ali Adem and Mr. Gebrenigus Tekle stated that the availability of such water reserve in the area has encouraged livestock farming.

Mr. Red’e Bahlibi, head of economic development in the sub-zone, called on the inhabitants to prudently utilize the water resources and prevent alluvial deposits in them.
