Ministry extends learning materials and financial support to needy students in Northern Red Sea region

The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Northern Red Sea region has extended learning materials and financial support to a total of 320 needy students in Massawa, Ginda, Afabet and Foro sub-zones.

Massawa, 03 October 2013 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the Northern Red Sea region has extended learning materials and financial support to a total of 320 needy students in Massawa, Ginda, Afabet and Foro sub-zones.

Mr. Russom Hizbai, head of social welfare in the branch office, pointed out that the process is expected to be concluded shortly. He further indicated that the government has been making significant investment in this regard with a view to raising the production capacity of destitute students, and that the beneficiaries have been demonstrating good performances in their academic pursuit.

Among parents of the students, Ms. Seida Omar and Ms. Selamawit Berhane expressed satisfaction with the support extended to their children.
