Inhabitants of Tnsha’ai administrative area said that the Hinbagul’I enclosures are in good condition owing to the strict conservation program enforced in the area.
Asmara, 6th September 2013, Inhabitants of Tnsha’ai administrative area said that the Hinbagul’I enclosures are in good condition owing to the strict conservation program enforced in the area.
Recalling that the area used to be simply dry and arid before the establishment of the enclosure, the inhabitants said at present the area is green and growing various kinds of trees and grass thanks to the conservation efforts underway.
Noting that inhabitants have understood well the importance of enclosures and have worked diligently in its conservation, administrator of Tnsha’ai Mr. Hans Zeru said that farmers have also started feeding their cattle by cutting grass from the enclosure with great care thereby serving dual benefit.
Head of the branch office of the Ministry of Agriculture in Mensura district Mr. Weldeyesus Ghebrai on his part said that the rains in the area are not reliable and because inhabitants adhered to the calls made for the increase of reserve lands, now enclosures have improved tremendously in areas of Mensura, Koriet, Megawda, Mentay and Hirkukh respectively.
The Tnsha’ai district is one of the 10 administrative areas of Mensura.
