Eritrean youths residing in South Africa asserted readiness to enhance role in State affairs on the basis of reinforcing organization.
Asmara, 08 October 2013 – Eritrean youths residing in South Africa asserted readiness to enhance role in State affairs on the basis of reinforcing organization. They made the pledge at a meeting with the Eritrean Ambassador to South Africa and Southern Africa region, Mr. Saleh Omar, which was conducted last weekend.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Saleh gave extensive briefings pertaining to the role of the youth in the nation-building process, in addition to the objective situation in the Homeland. He further noted the need of keeping intact the prevailing awareness and national values among youths.
The Ambassador went on to explain the vitality of identity in nurturing popular power and promoting the organization thereof, and called on the youths to live up to the nation’s expectation in this connection.
The participants of the meeting expressed readiness to step up participation in national development programs, and elected two committees that would follow up their activities, according to reports.
