Afabet, 10 October 2013 – The inhabitants of Afabet sub-zone’s Adaib area, who predominantly lead nomadic pattern of living, pointed out that they have become beneficiaries of educational service following their adherence to living as a community.
Accordingly, promotional activities conducted with a view to enabling the community members become effective utilizers of social service have made positive impact.
Among the inhabitants, Mr. Mohammed Saleh, Mr. Mohammed Seid and Mr. Mohammed-Ali Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the development the community is witnessing, especially in connection with education. They further lauded the Education Ministry’s efforts to this end.
Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed-Ali, Administrator of the area, pointed out that the putting in place of a potable water supply and school projects in the area had been impeded by the community’s prior scattered pattern of living, and that more than 300 first-graders have presently been registered during the current academic year.
In a meeting he conducted with the inhabitants in connection with the launching of schools in the area, Mr. Ahmed Mohammed-Nor, Administrator of Afabet sub-zone, called on them to extend a helping hand in the endeavors to promote community-based style of living vis-à-vis the development efforts being exerted.
