Potable water supply facility inaugurated in Dembe-Adi-Tsegai

Potable water supply facility that was put in place by the regional Administration of Anseba at a total expenditure of more than 4 million Nakfa was inaugurated in Dembe-Adi-Tsegai village last weekend.

Hagaz, 11 October 2013 – Potable water supply facility that was put in place by the regional Administration of Anseba at a total expenditure of more than 4 million Nakfa was inaugurated in Dembe-Adi-Tsegai village last weekend.

The project comprises a 3.7-Km pipeline, 3 distribution stations, 40 solar panels and a reservoir which is capable of storing 250 barrels.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Gergis Girmai, Administrator of the region, said that such a facility attests to the endeavors being exerted by the government to further accessibility of potable water. He further expressed conviction that it would make positive impact as regards improving the community’s livelihood, and called on them to utilize it prudently.

Mr. Amine Tesfai and Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, the Administrator and the Managing Director of Ad-Omar Administrative area respectively, stated that the inhabitants of the village used to waste unwanted energy and time fetching water for themselves and their livestock, and expressed the community’s satisfaction with the new facility.

Ms. Amna Haj, Administrator of Hagaz sub-zone, called on the inhabitants to practice prudent utilization of the available social service facilities.
