Geleb, 15 October 2013 – Reports indicated that election of magisterial judges was conducted in the Administrative areas of Mihlab and Gerbet, Geleb sub-zone.
Ms. Salma Saleh, head of community magistrates in Anseba region, disclosed that the task was aimed at replacement of some magisterial judges of inadequate competence.
Speaking at the opening of the election session, Mr. Ahmed Osman Furuj, Administrator of Geleb sub-zone, urged the inhabitants to vote for candidates who would serve them with uprightness and dedication, and equally called on the new elects to live up to the community’s expectation.
Among the inhabitants, Mr. Idris Ali and Mr. Mohammed Sheikh Osman expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the election, and called for sustained commitment on the part of the magisterial judges.
Ms. Jim’a Temariam, a magisterial judge from Gerbet Administrative area, asserted that she would serve the community with devotion, and called on the community members to continue collaborating in magisterial duties.
There exist a total of 4 community magistrates in Gerbet, Kaluq, Mihlab and Marat villages respectively, according to reports.
