The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in Debarwa sub-zone has extended support worth 1.5 million Nakfa to needy nationals over the past 9 months.
Debarwa, 16 October 2013 – The Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in Debarwa sub-zone has extended support worth 1.5 million Nakfa to needy nationals over the past 9 months.
Mr. Fisehaye Worede, head of the branch office, disclosed that a total of 28 orphans have jointly become beneficiaries of 174,000 Makfa, while 45 others which comprise needy nationals were rehabilitated at a total expenditure of 280,000 Nakfa. Moreover, 46 needy students have been provided with learning materials and registration fees, he added.
Mr. Fisehaye also pointed out that more than 800,000 Nakfa extended by nationals residing abroad has been paid to 86 families of martyrs.
Among parents of the students, Mr. Hadish Fisehatsion and Ms. Letenigus Mekonen lauded the initiative taken by the Government to back up needy students.
Out of the beneficiaries of livestock, Ms. Elsa Teklehaimanot and Ms. Tsige Kidane expressed satisfaction with the support, and said that they would strive to improve their livelihood taking the opportunity as a steppingstone.
