Stepped-up endeavors being exerted towards raising production capacity of prisoners in Anseba region: Report
The National Prison and Rehabilitation Center’s branch in Anseba region indicated that stepped-up endeavors are being exerted towards raising the production capacity of prisoners.
Keren, 17 October 2013 – The National Prison and Rehabilitation Center’s branch in Anseba region indicated that stepped-up endeavors are being exerted towards raising the production capacity of prisoners. It made the remark in connection with the inauguration of books written by a prisoner, during which it was stated that the branch office has been laying the groundwork to this end.
Capt. Ogbai Gebregziabher, head of administration in the branch office, pointed out that regular academic services and training courses are being rendered to prisoners, and called on them to effectively utilize the opportunities.
Mr. Nasser Anur, author, disclosed that the 2 books inaugurated by Lt. Colonel Woldezgi Ogbasilasie from the headquarter office on the occasion comprise a 2000-word Tigrinya-Tigre-Arabic-English dictionary and a book entitled “Ample” which comprises 550 mathematical formulae for simple approach of problem solving.
The event witnessed the staging of cultural performances by prisoners and the conferral of certificates of merit to stakeholders and individuals who made remarkable contribution in this regard.
