Asmara, 22 October 2013 – A total of 12 employees of artificial limb factory who have been attending a certificate course that was organized through the collaboration among the Ministries of Labor and Human Welfare, Education, as well as Health graduated yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Salma Hassan, Minister of Labor and Human Welfare, disclosed that the beneficiaries of the training program comprise veteran workers who made remarkable contribution in the domain, and pointed out the need of certifying the experience they have acquired. She also said that they are due to play vital role as regards sharing their experience with new youth employees.
Mr. Mihretab Fisehaye, head of social welfare in the Ministry, said that further endeavors would be made to extend the scope of the training that was rendered for the first time.
A representative of the graduates made note of the training course’s importance in their career.
One of the trainees, Mr. Maekele Tekeste expressed satisfaction with the training program and the psychological fulfillment the job entails.
Mr. Giorgio Woldetsion, a disabled citizen, equally voiced satisfaction with production of artificial limbs in the Homeland, the impact of which has become significant in raising the production capacity of the Disabled.
