Veteran Fighter Col. Ahmed Osman Mohammed passes away

Veteran Fighter Col. Ahmed Osman Mohammed who has been under medical treatment at a military hospital passed away yesterday at the age of 79.

Asmara, 22 October 2013 – Veteran Fighter Col. Ahmed Osman Mohammed who has been under medical treatment at a military hospital passed away yesterday at the age of 79.

Col. Ahmed Osman joined the armed struggle for independence in 1966 and served with dedication to date in various capacities in the Army including the Naval Force.

The funeral service of the late Col. Ahmed was conducted today at Hitumlo Martyrs Cemetery in Massawa.

The Eritrean Defense Forces, especially the Naval Force, convey condolence to the family members and companions of the departed veteran fighter.
