Students in Hamelmalo College of Agriculture present research works to farmers

Reports indicated that undergraduate and postgraduate students in Hamelmalo College of Agriculture presented research works to farmers.

Hamelmalo, 23 October 2013 – Reports indicated that undergraduate and postgraduate students in Hamelmalo College of Agriculture presented research works to farmers.

Present on the occasion were the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Arefaine Berhe, Mr. Semere Amlesom, Dean of the College, Mr. Huruy Asgedom, Director General of Agricultural Extension in the Ministry, invited guests, scholars and others.

The research outcomes pertain to soil and water conservation, cost-effective and creative irrigation techniques, enrichment of soil fertility through legume-mixed seeds, as well as the difference between applications of chemical natural fertilizers, besides preservation of onion and tomato.

There exist a total of 23 students who are pursuing Master’s program in various fields in Hamelmalo College of Agriculture, according to reports.
