Eritrean community members in Republic of Sudan assert readiness to back up national development endeavors

Eritrean community members in the Sudanese cities of Khartoum, Port Sudan, Gedarif and Kassala have asserted readiness to back up national development endeavors. They made the pledge at a 4-day assessment meeting which also involved a training focusing on reinforcement of organizational capacity.

Asmara, 24 October 2013 – Eritrean community members in the Sudanese cities of Khartoum, Port Sudan, Gedarif and Kassala have asserted readiness to back up national development endeavors. They made the pledge at a 4-day assessment meeting which also involved a training focusing on reinforcement of organizational capacity.

Speaking at the meeting, the Eritrean Ambassador to the Republic of Sudan, Mr. Mohammed-Seid Mantai, noted the need of enhancing role pertaining to the nation-building process in general and fostering community organization in particular. He further pointed out that  gratifying accomplishment has been registered in the Homeland as regards development and ensuring social justice, and called on the community members to step up participation to this end.

The participants of the meeting conducted discussion on the reports presented, and adopted work program for 2014, according to reports.
