The inhabitants of Tekawda area, Gogne sub-zone, indicated that the health station has made a noteworthy impact as regards raising community awareness pertaining to health issues, especially that of communicable diseases.

Gogne, 28 October 2013 – The inhabitants of Tekawda area, Gogne sub-zone, indicated that the health station has made a noteworthy impact as regards raising community awareness pertaining to health issues, especially that of communicable diseases.

They further pointed out that the number of the inhabitants attending services by the health station is on the rise, and that the accomplishments registered as regards control of communicable diseases as well as mother and child care attest to this.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Fatina Idris, Ms. Zahra Mohammed and Ms. Halima Mohammed expressed satisfaction with antenatal and postnatal services by the health station, which has visibly lowered pregnancy and delivery risks.

Mr. Saleh Osman, head of the health station, disclosed that it has been witnessing increasing number of visitors as a result of the growing community awareness. He also called for the assignment of ambulance in connection with of referral cases.
