Teachers in Hagaz sub-zone said that community participation in education is witnessing impressive growth as a result of the ongoing joint promotional efforts.

Hagaz, 29 October 2013 – Teachers in Hagaz sub-zone said that community participation in education is witnessing impressive growth as a result of the ongoing joint promotional efforts.

Mr. Abdullahi Mohammed, director of Al-Amal Elementary School in Hagaz, disclosed that the trend of school registration has shown a 12.3% growth, while that of females stands at 14%. He further indicated that the school has been rewarding exemplary students, thus encouraging spirit of competition among students.

Likewise, Mr. Abdulkadir Mohammed, head of administration and finance in the school, pointed out that its service has made positive impact in the area.

Parents and students in the locality on their part lauded the government’s commitment towards furthering educational outreach, and called for reinforcement of schools for still more gratifying outcome as regards the teaching-learning process.

Mr. Teklehaimanot Samuel, Administrator of Hagaz semi-urban center, stated that the Administration would enhance efforts to facilitate renovation of school facilities in collaboration with stakeholders.

Reports indicate that Al-Amal Elementary School, which was put in place in 1995, comprises more than 10 classrooms and a computer lab.
