The inhabitants of Adi-Gebrai and Adi-Kefelet areas, Central region, are engaged in a joint popular undertaking with a view to renovating and extending the breadth of the 12-km dirt road to the localities.

Asmara, 29 October 2013 – The inhabitants of Adi-Gebrai and Adi-Kefelet areas, Central region, are engaged in a joint popular undertaking with a view to renovating and extending the breadth of the 12-km dirt road to the localities.

The participants of the community venture pointed out that initiatives of this type have significant input in the nation-building process.

Among the participants, Mr. Gebrekristos Estifanos, Mr. Mehari Asgedom, Ms. Mebrat Berhe, Mr. Woldemichael Gebreab and Mr. Tsegai Habtemariam indicated that the road has been causing transport problems, and that the process of its renovation involves machinery and trucks. They further expressed conviction that the fulfillment of the task would make visible impact as regards improving the livelihood of the communities.

Rev. Tesfamariam Amha and Winta Tekle called on communities to emulate such initiative.
