The inhabitants of Kitmewli’e Administrative area, Gala-Nefhi sub-zone, have extended a total of 43,000 Nakfa to 87 families of martyrs on the basis of fundraising.
Asmara, 30 October 2013 – The inhabitants of Kitmewli’e Administrative area, Gala-Nefhi sub-zone, have extended a total of 43,000 Nakfa to 87 families of martyrs on the basis of fundraising.
Present at the handing occasion yesterday, Ms. Haimanot Godefai and Ms. Miliete Tekle, members of families of fallen heroes, asserted that such community initiative attests to the prevailing noble culture of collaboration among citizens. They further expressed satisfaction with the support being extended to them by the people and the government.
Among the members of Kitmewli’e village’s administrative committee, Ms. Miliete Dirar and Mr. Tesfai Gebregiorgis voiced conviction that the contribution is the least thing the community members could do honoring the trust of martyrs.
The Administrator of Gala-Nefhi sub-zone, Mr. Habte Gebremariam, explained that the contributions being made in this regard by nationals residing abroad have also made positive impact in improving the livelihood of such families. He also called on nationals to emulate the initiative of backing families of martyrs.
In the same vein, Mr. Gebrehiwet Woldai, Administrator of Kitmewli’e Administrative area, disclosed that the current input made by the community constitutes the 4th time, besides the labor support they have been extending in agricultural and other activities. A communal concern of this type attests to the Eritrean people’s readiness of honoring the trust of fallen heroes.
