The inhabitants of Ad-Shuma Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone,have renovated the 7-Km-long dirt road to the locality on the basis of a popular undertaking involving mobilization of labor and financial resources.
Ginda, 05 November 2013 – The inhabitants of Ad-Shuma Administrative area, Ginda sub-zone,have renovated the 7-Km-long dirt road to the locality on the basis of a popular undertaking involving mobilization of labor and financial resources.
Mr. Adem Idris, Administrator of the area, indicated that such community-led nationwide ventures are part of the ongoing national development endeavors, and expressed appreciation for the active participation of the inhabitants in general and that of women in particular in the process.
Among the inhabitants, Ms. Fatina Seid and Mr. Suleiman Mohammed-Nor from the Area administration explained that the bad condition of the route used to cause transportation problem, and asserted the community’s readiness to participate in similar ventures in the future.
Reports indicated that the inhabitants voiced satisfaction with educational service.
Ad-Shuma village, inhaibited by some 400 families leading their lives through herding and crop production, is located 8 Km. north-west of Gahtelai semi-urban center.
