Reports indicated that the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare has registered significant impact as regards improving the livelihood of needy nationals in Molqi sub-zone.

Molqi, 08 November 2013 – Reports indicated that the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare has registered significant impact as regards improving the livelihood of needy nationals in Molqi sub-zone.

Accordingly, the accomplishments the Ministry has registered comprise the backing of individuals patronizing orphans, payments for families of martyrs in line with government’s benefit scheme and provision of learning materials to needy students, among others.

Among the inhabitants of the locality rehabilitated in livestock, Mr. Solomon Amine, Ms. Lichi Gezae, Ms. Hihret Ogbagabir and Mr. Gebregiorgis Mengistu said that they would strive to raise their income utilizing the opportunity as a stepping stone. They also lauded the government’s commitment regarding improving the wellbeing of nationals.

Mr. Gebriel Kahsai, head of the Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone, disclosed that the programs were implemented at a total expenditure of 6 million Nakfa.

Meanwhile, the Ministry’s branch in Agordat sub-zone, extended learning supplies worth over 12,000 Nakfa to a total of 37 needy students.

Mr. Yemane Kiflu, head of the branch office, and Ms. Fatina Idris, head of social service in Agordat sub-zone, pointed out that the support constitutes a continuation of previous efforts, and advised the beneficiaries to demonstrate excellence in their academic pursuit.
