The inhabitants of Dieda Administrative area, Mai-Aini sub-zone, said that the wood enclosure in the locality is registering impressive development following the conducting of community-based soil and water conservation activities.

Mai-Aini, 12 November 2013 – The inhabitants of Dieda Administrative area, Mai-Aini sub-zone, said that the wood enclosure in the locality is registering impressive development following the conducting of community-based soil and water conservation activities.

Among the guards of the enclosure, Mr. Hagos Gebregziabher lauded the prevailing communal awareness in connection with enclosure establishment, and called on the inhabitants of the remaining villages to emulate such community initiative.

Rev. Tesfalem Mogos, Administrator of the area, explained that the enclosure has also secured additional feed supply for animals.

Reports indicated that various indigenous trees within the enclosure have flourished well, ensuring a conducive habitat for a number of wild animal species.
